My Story

A Licensed Professional Here to Guide You

Courtney is a dedicated mental health professional with a deep passion for supporting individuals, couples, and families. Her journey began as an EMT, where she developed a strong commitment to helping others in times of crisis. While working as a first responder, Courtney felt particularly drawn to psychiatric patients and the mental health challenges faced by fellow first responders, inspiring her to pursue a career in psychology.

She has extensive clinical and managerial experience in the nonprofit mental health sector. Throughout her career, Courtney has developed and led programs supporting youth in educational settings from kindergarten through college, providing counseling services, crisis management, and resource stabilization. She has also worked closely with mental health teams—including therapists, behavioral support specialists, family partners, and youth advocates—helping young people and their families navigate complex mental health challenges through Flexible Integrated Treatment programs.

Courtney holds 5150 certifications in Placer and Solano Counties and has conducted mental health evaluations and crisis stabilization counseling in hospital emergency departments and jails. In 2019, she founded her private practice, where she continues to provide therapy services in Rocklin and Roseville, as well as Telehealth throughout California. In addition to her clinical work, Courtney serves as a Clinical Supervisor at a nonprofit, guiding trainees and associates on their path to licensure as Marriage and Family Therapists or Professional Clinical Counselors. She also consults for a crisis intervention program based in Solano County.

Known for her authentic and client-centered approach, Courtney is trained in Gottman Level 1 and Level 2, TF-CBT (Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), and EMDR techniques. Her therapeutic orientation is shaped by Attachment Theory, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Humanistic Therapy, allowing her to tailor interventions to each client’s unique needs.

Beyond her professional work, Courtney is passionate about mental health advocacy, reducing stigma, and giving back to her field through speaking engagements, published work, and free community education. Outside of the office, she enjoys spending time with her family, gardening, hiking, horseback riding, traveling, and scuba diving.
